Ready-made curtains have changed so much in recent years. It used to be that all you could ever find were floral puffy valances and heavy draperies. Now, though, at linen stores and through online decorating retailers, you can find paneled curtains, of all different lengths and fabrics, from gauzy lightweight airy curtains that are ready to hang, straight out of the package. Ready made bathroom curtains come in two basic styles, shower curtains and window curtains. Both should carry a degree of water resistance, and many designers create coordinating shower and window curtains in matching patterns and designs. In the kitchen, water resistance is also important, and windows are generally shorter, like the window above the sink or the dinette set. Living room and dining room windows generally require longer curtains that go all the way to the floor. Depending upon the style you choose, these are more expensive than kitchen & bathroom curtains.

Pay attention to the pleats and folds when you’re shopping, more pleats generally signifies a higher end curtain, since pleating utilizes more fabric.
